ACCA and CAT

ACCA stands for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. This organisation provides a framework of qualifications that can lead to Chartered Accountancy. After the skills module of the examinations, students are eligible for obtaining a BSc. (Hons.) in Applied Accounting from the Oxford Brookes University, the UK.

CERTIFIED ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN (CAT)

ACCA’s accounting technician qualification ensures basic knowledge in accounting and prepares for the more demanding ACCA qualification. It contains courses relating to cost accounts, financial accounts, management and information technology. After qualifying first five papers of CAT the students can transfer to ACCA Knowledge module and after qualifying Advanced Level they can transfer to Skills module of ACCA. Accountants are required in most businesses. Personnel with knowledge and understanding of financial systems are an essential element of any organization. It is also important to have credentials of an international reputation so that the person can be employed the world over.
